If we want "free software" to be a tool of liberation, it needs to put more focus on the people, rather than just technology itself.
free software doesn't focus on technology (i.e., technical details) but how the software is distributed and removes artificially (politically) imposed restrictions. By doing that it ensures the developers/users of the software are equal.
@kropotkin Yes. A lot of people don't know about free software and reject tech because of all the corporate crap and spyware etc. I was one of them.
