i guess since the crates package system and the cargo build system is worse than npm, web devs would be attracted to it like flies to shit. the complete lack of standardization or documentation would probably attract them too.
@nytpu I appreciate rust, and I consider that modern programming languages should allow people to fetch and organize libraries easily. However I also think it's a recipe for a nodejs-style mess. It's already starting to look like npm IMO. But my first impression may be wrong since I only played with rust for a week or so. Genuine question: does anyone has a good link or interesting take on that? How does rust really compare with npm or golang in regard to the dependency ecosystem ?
